Buying etiquette

I usually buy singles or do splits, so....

when buying a box of cigars whether it be in this country or abroad, can/should you open the box to check inside?

I would ask for the box to be opened ,then if happy with what i see then pay for them.

You might find it an issue in the States though as they like sealed boxes, and by sealed I mean the whole box is cello wrapped.

Unfortunately so, I haven't had hair as long as the guy in the picture for around 20 years.

In that case can you open the box in the shop after paying for it or not.
