Excuse the thread zombification... but I'm something of a watch enthusiast so searched for 'watches' on the forum and this popped up... nice video. I may do a watch/cigar photo session at some stage. James.UK - do I recognise that name from TZUK?

Any other watch/cigar fans... if so, which is the more expensive hobby??

As long as you don't buy as many watches as you do cigars, then cigars

I thought that watches would be the most obviously expensive hobby... it's possible to have tens of thousands of pounds in watches, however as long as you buy wisely then you can always sell (I pretty much broke even when I decided to 'get out') ... watches are assets, I see cigars can be too (something I hadn't thought of) but ultimately they are consumable. I guess with watches the real expense is the difference between purchase price and sale price, less maintenance costs (services for high end watches are expensive). With cigars it's purchase price/sale price, less cost of smoking! .... not trying to make a science out of it, just interesting as I start to explore cigars as a hobby.

Both quite similar in some regards but as you say the main difference if you use a watch and look after it, it's not going to cost anything. You use a cigar and boom investment gone haha

Money to be made in both though [emoji4]

Although I'm not in either to make money and probably won't make money from either haha
