Not sure if it's out in a box set yet, but The Knick is one of the best TV series I've ever seen. It was on Sky Atlantic. Set in a NY hospital in 1901. Not seen US TV do period drama particularly well, but The Knick was fantastic. One critic called it 'anti-nostalgia' cos it doesn't show the past in a warm, fuzzy way. Opening scene of first episode was a Caesarian - 1901 style.

Speaking of Peter Capaldi, have you watched The Thick of It?
Farscape is another classic and underated sci fi show. Once you get through the admittedly ropey first half of series one it really becomes one of the most compelling shows from the late 90s. Muppets and all.
Yeah, I'm a geek.
Peter Capaldi was truly magnificent in it!

Isn't the first Capaldi series just on a mid season break?
I thought it was back early part of 2015.
The fianc?e and I have started watching Penny Dreadful, fun so far in a slightly camp way. Plus, ya know, Eva Green.

Recently I finished watching Star Trek (TNG, DS9, Voyager, Enterprise) and I am planning to watch again The Original Series in not to distant future.
Except that Big Bang Theory, Breaking Bad and Orange is New Black... and I think I have a little bit series hangover, so time to read something.Three Laws are:
- A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
- A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
- A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
