I've been a member here for 6 months and the only issues that have arisen of this nature during that time are with you and you haven't even been here long enough to reach PM status yet!

If anyone has entered into box splits then they did so having accepted an offered price, I don't see the issue.

There have been some splits here where I didn't think it was worth it so I didn't join in, simple.

Ross, un-irregardless of what you believed at the time and putting aside conflictions in the recollections of everyone here, you should have known better with the pricing.

Margaritas are absolutely tiny. Paying around 8 quid per sitck is absolutely ludicrous. Ten years isn't much especially when the cigar is discontinued in 2006. It doesn't warrent such a price increase. You claim to be new so I'll take your word on it. But even a new bloke should do research on items.
ESPECIALLY if our sponsor (C.Gars) has the Punch Margaritas for 123 quid for a box!
A simple google search (or Bing as [the outdated] TJ and the Coros use) would reveal that they are no where near worth 123 quid a box. I wouldn't even pay 123 euros for the box of Margos.

No one starts wines with the $1000 dollar bottles. No one starts cigars hunting for aged and vintage. I'll admit... I've rushed a tad too much into it. io I never got to enjoy the cigar ignorance as most people have...
Enjoy your time smoking CoRos without worrying about the year or box stamp. Enjoy your time not caring about the pedantics of cigars and just order what you think is good.

Perhaps a trade/sell freeze is in order. There's a learning curve. And you should watch a bit (or for a while) before dabbling too much.

VTG is a close personal friend in real life as well as the forum, we will always stick up for each other.

now Ross as I just told you on the phone, I dont think you intentionally mean to be a plonker! You have just managed to be one a couple of times. Like you say, your new to this and have made some mistakes.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt, and say like you have said that you do not mean to profiteer.

but then you go and start having a go at everyone, most of the members on here know each other and have met in person or at least know someone that has met the other member.

I think you just need to calm down take your time to get to know people before you try to trade/sell.

unfortunately you may have burnt to many bridges now.

(you mentioned they're 10 years age. Box code is 2005, right?) I don't think you'd come into a box of those without knowing the value. I don't think they'd be asked of you without you knowing the value or you asking what the value is...

I got pissed off being a a football when I know worse things happen around me with no one saying anything about it. There are some truly great people on this forum such as yourself, PJ and Wigan, Wolfmesiter the Third . Infact, the mass majority.

The smuggler of budgie was right about one thing, I am creating too many problems. Many of my own doing, so I do apologise for bringing instability to this house of close knit people.

At the end of it, I know I made mistakes, but I am a man of my word and a decent human being. I thoroughly hate people seeing me other wise.

Yeah not sure I know completely what's gone on or where we're at. However we rarely have trade disputes, even the infamous 'butters debacle of 2014' was cleared up and I still believe was an utterly innocent stuff up. It is slightly ironic this member didn't have trade ability on the forum though.

I don't mind the jumping on to post about it and rants; it's good sometimes to clear it up and the last thread didn't come to a conclusion so this was always going to happen.

Anyway I'm happy to go with mo's opinion that Ross has just had one of his moments as a newbie and we should probably help him see the problem and guide him towards what is perceived as right on this forum; that's what the more long-standing members should always conceive to do - that's what a community is about and what will ultimately decide whether we're all still here in a few years down the line. Give people the benefit of the doubt, especially when they're intensely eager and not quite used to the usual ways of working.

Well I am a bit with TJ and not quite sure what to make of it all, Ross why you could just not have waited until you could of sold them on UKCF I think all this mess could of been avoided if you had, especially as you don't need the money! the rules are in place for a reason I do think if you stick around you will find it difficult to trade swap sell as in the back of peoples mind you may not be trusted, unfair maybe but that's life
I would also stop bring other people into the thread, start another one if need be but I am not sure it would be relevant on UKCF as the sale was not done through UKCF so a bit of a grey area if it should be brought up at all on this forum again another good reason not to bend the rules

As for making money on box splits well to me that is not how understand it to work, but most of the time I will only buy, swap from people I know in real life and not through in internet unless some one I know say sphere ok

Tommy also told me when I was first beginning here that when you do a box split of say 5 cigars, you make enough on the sale to cover your own. PeeJay was the person Tommy related this type of practice to.

On top of that, he owes me ?100 for cigars he has bought from me. Have aI been paid, or did a massive issue suddenly appear over a mistake of ?17?
