Is this thread not going slightly too far?

I'm necessarily not defending his behaviour or disagreeing with the sentiments expressed, but there's a way of going about things, and I'm not convinced everyone publicly demanding that he leaves is it...

I don't see anyone demanding. He has asked to leave himself.

Nope your right. And I in no way want to defend ross as I am sure I expressed my opinion of him. But I know for a fact peejay has been doing box splits and making his portion free on more than one occasion like ross said that was what he told him he done with box splits so I really dont see why everyone is trying to stone someone for doing what a established member told him he does. What ever someone wants to sell cigars at is there business. Dont like the price dont buy same with trades if you dont like your end dont deal with that person or do the trade in the first place.

Please get your quotes correct Pedro if you want to stick your nose in - 'PeeJay was the person Tommy related this type of practice to'

                Some general thoughts from me:
                1. Cigars are an expensive, pay to play hobby. They are not a human right.
                2. Internet forums are a strange, virtual reality ...treat accordingly.
                3. Communities are established over years, not weeks.
                4. Trading rules are there to protect all parties (as best we can).
                5. Any trading that took place outside/on the side etc is nothing to do with this forum as far as I can see. Anyone who gets involved in trading with people they don't really know has to accept the risk. To quote the Godfather "friendship and money, oil and water".
                6. Forums are not for everyone...
                7. ...nor are witch-hunts
                8. Life is not this complicated, light up and relax. These are first world problems and should be kept in proportion. We all have a lot to be thankful for (as a minimum we have access to a cigar, a computer, internet and free speech).
                9. For me people can buy and sell for whatever price they choose. If I choose to mark up a sale or split that is up to me, it is up to you if you want to deal with me, like me, respect me etc.
                10. Google is there, use it.
                11. What you write on the internet often lives for ever (including all of my bs)

All just MHO of course, to paraphrase old man BJ "...but what the hell do I know "
...and then some nonsense about blueballs, senior serious, Catilina, coro clan and broken wing I think?

Do we think this thread run it's course now?

Wel that's great, because if we encourage that we're going to end up with a forum full of Middle men out to make a buck. There's enough shit to deal with in life, I don't want to have to count every penny and scour the net every time I do a deal with someone.

If it comes to that then I'm out of here, and I don't think I would be the only one.

As far as I'm concerned money making ,or trading cigars for the purpose of enabling the vendor to smoke free is not the impression I had of that part of the forum .
Maybe I'm too honest or trusting . I'll never be the richest man in the graveyard but I'll have a clear conscience when I go .
I will say that I've found the people I've dealt with so far to be honest genuine souls .

I`d say it was particularly bad form to be marking stuff up. I may show my gratitude at some point down the line and send you a couple of nice sticks for your effort but that is a completely different affair.

                              I'll get my coat.

To be clear I am not saying it is nice or brotherly to mark up cigars nor am I looking to encourage it, just for me a free market. People normally find out the market sets its own price when nobody buys.

We all know roughly what cigars cost (UK and Duty Free) and it is our choice if we choose to buy, that's all. Not sure why anyone would be talking about quitting the forum over my comments? ...and I sincerely hope you don't!
