Cigar Ring Gauge Guide

I stopped caring when I realised the cigars swell and contract depending on humidity and temperature and your only ever going to get a rough guide at best no matter what you use to measure. Best checking with manufactures website for size of cigar if your that interested in knowing

There is literally hundreds of these on ebay. Have to rake to find the ones that go over 1/2" tho

Would people be interested in sheet Aluminium ones? I'm sure I could pick up a full imperial drill bit set for not much just to knock a few out on my drill press if there is the interest. Price would just be to cover cost and postage........ Though I'm with Wigan the rule would be my choice if I cared enough to measure.

Yeah, it's the bigger ones that will cause an issue. Perhaps Ed can point us in the right direction, I know when it comes to precision drilling he works with the closet tolerances in the world and he must know a thing or two about drill bits.

If we can come up with a template and I can get the bits then I'm happy to make a bunch.

It sounds very nice and its very kind of you to offer to make but I feel rather pointless. You can measure just as accurately with a rule and they are practically indestructible (I know, I have tried) and easy to store and purchase etc. Cant fault em for this purpose

I'd buy that. Now make a few gaps and make it collapsable to fit in someone's wallet.

Looks good, but would it make sense to sacrifice the more extreme sizes (60+) for more in the 50's?

Very true. I am only used to using imperial (or English as I like to call it at work) is from working at American oil company's. Went all through school with metric but now can only visualise sizes in imperial. Fecking yanks
