  • Best and worst cigars of 2014

Could you write what was your best and worst experience of 2014.

    My experience:

    Best cigar:
    NUB Maduro

    Worst Cigar:
I had so many bad sticks this year (I went through so many very cheap cigars, so I am not really surprised), it is so difficult to find the worst cigar...
    All cigars marked as Placeres

    Best value for money cigar:
    H.Uppman Half Corona

Except that I really enjoyed following cigars:
    RyJ Coronitas en Cedro
    JLP Cremas
    CAO mx2 Dagger
    Three Laws are:
    1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
    2. A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
    3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Steering clear of my obvious favourites, one that pleasantly surprised me this year was a Montecristo no.4, that my wife gifted me. It went down beautifully with a coffee. The monty was pure coffee bean. Sublime.

      Worst: Crux Ninfomaniac

Best: Hmmmm let me think, I think the Boli Demi Tassi was this year..... If so (without checking.) then that was almost a life changing moment. It's how good a piece of rolled up leaves can taste.

Best: Punch Serie D'Oro LE. Smoked a dozen or so from 4 different boxes. Consistently excellent

Worst: Bolivar Libertador LCdH. Airy wind tunnels with very mild flavour.

Similar but distinctly different in that it requires you only post one cigar.

says so in bold and everything.

Saying that my best and worst cigar has been Bolivar Belicosos Finos.

Bought 5 off here and had a fairly unlucky time of it. Couple with not much flavour and plugged one and thought them to be a pretty naff cigar.

Had my last one the other day and was expecting nothing at all of it and it turned out to be a good one. Fantastic in fact. From what I have been told it is a fantastic cigar but I think the low expectations made it seem even better and best cigar experience of the cigar of the year.

Best value for money is Cuaba Salomon 7.25" 57RG, its a beast of a cigar I reckon really well priced for the size of it. Worth looking into.

Also of note is the selection of NC I have received mainly from Mightyred but from of few of the other guys on here. It such a massive market and I really haven't know where to begin with it. Feel you can pretty much throw a dart at the list of Cubans and get something at least reasonable if not more likely something really good. Its been good getting NC from people that either already know or at least have already made the mistakes the hard way. Thanks guys I have really enjoyed receiving these smokes.

I'm glad to see my extravagant use of bold didn't go to waste.

The worst cigar of the year was an American Original from cigar.com, they don't ship internationally so don't worry about the website. When I cut it the cut edge was black and it was just disgusting and got dumped after three draws.
The best was a Montecristo Edition Limitada 2003 that I bought and smoked in Majorca. If they still have the rest of the box I'll buy them next year.

Haha! We Coros are color blind, so we don't distinguish, how-you-say, "BOLD!"

You are right. Do you think those two should be merged?
