Watched The Wall last night. I thought it was pretty poor.
A psychological drama/thriller type done along the lines of Phone Booth.
Unfortunately not in the same league.
Watched Jingle All the Way yesterday and I most sincerely believe that every person involved in the making of this film was on some very hard drugs during it's whole production!

My youngest son doesn't accept its Christmas until he's watched it
Watched Christopher Nolan's 'Dunkirk' (finally) last night. Very disappointed. No effort to show the sheer scale of what happened. The blessed Ken B at the start: 'there are 400,000 men on the beaches'. Various scenes follow involving a few hundred extras; five aircraft and two bombings of the beach (each by a single aircraft); three 'big' ships and a dozen 'little ships'; lots of people 'dead' but no blood; very confusing jumping around in time; literally no Germans to be seen (saves on the costumes, I guess); and the usual and annoying spectacle of people saluting with no hats on. Ken at end: 'we got 300,000 men off the beach'. Left with the impression we'd been watching the wrong beach...
King Arthur last night. The Guy Ritchie version. Does he deliberately try to make it in the style of Lock Stock? Scene handling, dialogue and characters. Hmmm
Tepid.

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...
let’s say I am just a bit before the “politically correct “ generation .
that and I don’t like “dark” movies ... movies where most of the time it is night and you just know this is covering special effects ... please have actors act and cartoons on Saturday morning .
derrek
tourists bring home souvenirs ... explorers bring home stories .
Apart from being an obvious rip off 'Alien Nation' I thought it was somewhat linear
Exactly my thoughts.
Rip off without any of the positives....
It had so much potential, but just made me want to watch AN. But I won't, as memory is probably providing rose tinted spec's.
I watched Get Out New Year's Eve.
It was pretty good.
However, it felt more like a Black Mirror special, rather than a proper full on movie.
Luckily, I like Black Mirror, so it wasn't a total waste of time.
