I watched two films today. This morning I watched 'Central Intelligence' which is absolute crap and this afternoon I watched 'Independence Day: Resurgence'. It was actually quite entertaining in that gung ho sort of way the Yanks love. Of course they saved the world again.

Another double day today. This morning I watched 'Star Trek Beyond', pretty good sic-fi movie that showed that my sound bar really can do spatial separation quite well. Isn't this the second starship Kirk has lost? You'd think they wouldn't give him another one! 8/10

This afternoon it was out in the cabin to watch 'The Purge: Election Year'. If you've seen the others you'll know what to expect. This one definitely carries a more political message that will be sadly wasted on most Americans, 7/10

If you like war/covert, black ops type films, I highly recommend "13 hours- the secret soldiers of Benghazi ". It's based on the true events a few years ago when the US ambassador to Libya was killed. Well worth a watch.

Today I watched 'Free State of Jones' about one man's stand against the Confederacy and racism in 1863, Matthew Mcconaughey gives a good performance and I thought it was worth 8/10

I watched the bridge of spies this afternoon. I really enjoyed it. Tom Hanks and Mark Rylance were brilliant.

I finally got around to watching "We're the Millers" last night.
Fairly good and quite funny in places.
Definitely worth watching for Jen's dance.

Sleeplessness lead to me watching "Midnight Special" with Michael Shannon and Joel Egerton and a few others. Very nice to find a decent science fiction flick that stands on its own, and isn't a remake or franchise.

Night before last "Hail, Caesar!" which was a bit too clever for its own good and is weak by Coen Brothers standards. It's meant as a comedy but it's no Big Lebowski.

Thanks for the recommendation. l Watched this in the evening after bridge of spies, quite a contrast but that made both films more enjoyable.

As a Grimm fan it was good to see David Giuntoli somewhere else.
