Gone Girl - what horse poop, I really thought his sister was going to kill her in the end, they made her character up really well for that outcome.

There seems to be a worrying trend in story writing atm where the writers/authors have a great idea but just don't know how to end it.

Mo - The b&w vampire film, was it Nosferatu? A cinema classic
(As for Mandingo, I very nearly spat my coffee all over my monitor when I read that)

My favourite type of films are ones with good twists at the end, like Shutter Island or The Ususal Suspects.

I have started to shy away from movies- used to be a big film buff (member of the old video club, that would send you a film every month - on Tape - and you had the option to buy it or send it back; or unofficially watch it, dont buy it and send it back) but find my attention span doesnt last the 2+ hours it takes to watch them now. More into tv box sets, easier to watch with the limited time in the evenings.

Don't get me wrong will still a watch a film, but only if i REALLY need to see it.

Gone Girl is more of a female oriented product afaik.
            Wife loves the book.
As far as films go, I love em all!
Not into any particular genre. I point blank refuse to read film reviews, as they're all generally toss written by tossers.
I prefer to make my own mind up - we use a 20 minute rule on the whole - if we don't like it by then or can't see any promise, we ditch it and move on...

I have to admit it does sometimes seem that films are written in such a way that the story remains unfinished nowadays.

I have been putting it down to making sequels easier to write if you're continuing a story that hasn't been finished nicely, but it's definitely noticeable.

I do tend to be more into watching TV series online now (Netflix etc.) as I can do that on my Laptop whilst enjoying a smoke outside. Films I tend to watch on a projector which makes it more of an "experience" but means I can't smoke as it's indoors (unless the OH is away for a few days!)

*Only joking, if you read this darling.

lol .......I get told the same thing, the funny thing is that I usually have about five 30 min shows on it. The rest of the space is used by her with flaming soaps

Thats the trouble with SKY boxes, there storage capacity is rubbish- hope you don't store HD files as that will cause it to fill up far too quickly, defeats the object of having the choice.

I don't actually have SKY, refuse to pay the price of it- have a freesat box and a smart TV and stream pretty much all i need to watch. My wife is the only one in the house that watches linear TV.

They should've kept the Equalizer similar to the old tv series and casted a mature white guy.
Now before anyone says anything… no, I'm not being racist in the slightest (I am of mixed blood myself),
as for those who remember the old series, this would've tied in better. I know it's based on a book
(it is isn't it?) but still...
…and IF you do wanna go down that root that it doesn't matter, then I think they should cast a black Bond…

I remember being a kid, and walking around the playground, humming the Equalizer tune in my head
and walking around in my long 3-quarter coat with black gloves on… thinking I was the Equalizer
