They say money won't bring you happiness.... But surely it's a key to unlocking your happiness.
I spend more of my time working than I care to, that time could be spend doing things that give me happiness like exploring the world with my family and having the finances to follow up on the projects that are constantly in idea stage in my head.
Yeah, I think money would give me the freedom to be much happier.

I wholeheartedly agree, but that said I'd much rather be rich and miserable than poor and miserable!
None of us have got a clue on this country about being poor , the shame is the materialistic west regarding wealth and money above morals and manners , just look at the so called celebrities , manners maketh the man regardless of wealth. I take my hat off to all the people in this country who help others work shit loads of hours for a pittance of a wage and have pride in themselves . Without them we'd have no healthcare , rubbish littering the streets , food in our shops and on the shelves etc etc etc ..... I raise a glass to you all
Apart from choice what my friends have gained with their wealth is time. Not having to work means that have all the time they need to do all the things they want. None of us on here are 'poor' or we wouldn't be able to smoke cigars but because we have to work we don't have all the time we want.

I agree the hours I spend on me time seem to get less and less so the years just fly by its a busy old life earning a crust that doesn't appear to go as far . I don't think I'd ever life an incredibly lavish lifestyle there's lots I'd like to do and see in this world that isn't necessarily expensive but time sadly is a luxury I can't afford
