  • Shed advice - What have you got / what do you recommend?

Wife has given clearance for a new shed / log cabin thing for the garden.
    2m x 3m ish.
Will be allowed to put power and light in it.
So - anybody have any idea of decent garden buildings that don't cost the Earth, but are warm, dry and generally a bit like an indoor room, but outside?
Budget for the building is around a grand....

I don't own tools. Well, I have some screwdrivers somewhere. And hammer, I think....

+1 for BillyHo. I got my shed from garden buildings direct. Fairy easy to build, I've added additional insulation & lined with 10mm ply. My nephew has installed electric for me too. My pics are in the 'what we make' thread

Whilst on paternity leave I'm going to be building a utility room, an office and a log store/bike port. I'm using a 2x4 frame, Weatherboard outside skin, Celotex insulation and hardboard inside skin. Each wall will be built independently so they can all bolt together in a modular way. That is so that I can take it with me if we move. I've got some lovely PVC double doors for the office and I'm getting another double glazed door for the utility room.
                            It's going to be cool.
Once you see mine GHog, you will need one too.
