Good Evening Ladies and Gents,

Do hope all is well for a late Monday!

After living in the Middle East for several years and it being one of several areas that I look after in my job, I am seriously into Hookah. Does anyone here smoke Hookah at all? Ever tried it? I find it a great social smoke, akin to cigars in a very brash kind of way - Bringing people together to socialise and also induldge in their favourite types of shisha, molasses with or without tobacco. It of course has no such refinement as cigars do, it is a very light oberservation a best. The hookahs I have (several) are beautiful though.

Anyhow, would be great to see if anyone has tried it or does actively partake in lighting up some coals and enjoying a Hookah session with their favourite shisha blend!

I hope this post finds you well. As to your question, why yes...I've tried a how-you-say, "Hookah," when visiting Rome a few years ago. I enjoyed it very much and have considered investing time and money in the hobby. If you have any tips, kindly post them here.

hi Ross, I have been a hookah since an Emirate friend introduced me in the bad old days. Being young and foolish the challenge was how long could you circular breathe just off the pipe About 10 years on from that i was in Dubai & found my opportunity to purchase the pipe pictured below. That was over 10 years ago now and it is still in regular(ish!) use.

I tried this for the first and only time in Egypt. I found the draw was too easy, no resistance at all, compared to smoking a pipe or cigar. I really struggled.
Is there a way of increasing the resistance of the draw?

the seals have to be perfect, if not you'll get some some fresh air through too. Also some one has the task of getting the thing up to temperature 1st

It has been a while since I last had a chance to enjoy a Hookah...So here I am enjoying some tunes, scrolling the web, hovering around the forums and thoroughly enjoying myself...Although need another cup of coffee!!

Using a Vortex Goliath Head which has Al Fakhur natural Lemon tobacco molasses. Heat is by coals on the top of the hookah. The main thing with any hookah is heat management
