No PS4 for me. I have a PS3 but I don't think I've played it for about 2 years. It's used as more of player for streaming Amazon Instant Video and Netflix onto my TV

My favourite was staggering home from the local (when I used to drink) in zig zag lines, firing up my Xbox playing COD 4, getting my headset on and pregame winding up the US kiddies so they would go fucking bezerk and then going 30-3 in the round....

I love the battlefield series, back to the 1942 days and the Desert Combat mod. Now I whore BF4 with one of my friends getting upto a moderator status so every Friday night I get invited to the EA/Dice Teamspeak which is epic and I now seem to be on the cutting edge of what is happening and Alpha status all the way. I am a true Veteran.

Now, developers LOVE consoles. Why? Everyone is the same. You look at PC gamers and their is a countless amount of variations. What annoys me is back when BF3 and BF4 where in their Pre-Alpha stage, myself and the clan got a look in. Using Frostbite 3 was sublime. Everything you you could see could be melted away from an assortment of vehicles and C4. They then slowly but surely scaled back the destruction as not everyone can run 2 x GTX 970's in SLi on a 2560 x 1440 monitor ( 4 years using this Dell Ultrasharp...). I know that Frostbite 3 is using 50 percent of its 'capacity'. I really wish that developers would say a true minimum spec so that all destruction and details can be cranked up to max.

I was a PC gamer primarily but find sitting on it all day for work and then at home for gaming is not good for my arm/RSI. Controllers on a console seem not to cause as much of a problem.
I also just like the non-hassle of picking up a console and it just working without worrying about the latest gfx card driver crashing or Windows suddenly BDOD'ing. I've moved away from the PC scene in last few years; thinking of upgrading to a 970GTX but doubt I'll use it!

I thought of upgrading mine recently but my current rig does everything I want so not much point really [emoji20]

LOL quality rant

I'm just the opposite with FPS, it's all about the score so gfx are turned right down so the annoying effects don't get in the way of spotting victims

What makes an FPS addict? When you tune your mouse movement so a 2" flick side to side is a perfect 180? spin to pull off those whip round head shots

(That habit comes from many years lost playing Counterstrike, still the best shooter game out there, I'm old school and don't believe in spawn points, when your dead you should stay dead!)

Do you remember Dust, being a terrorist and rushing the tunnel?! Epic fun. I lost 3 years playing CS. Quality game and I do agree that when you are dead, you are dead!

We had our own server (still going I think, but I did finally stop playing) it was DOGz & CATz, my FPS gaming tag is Bashball.

We played a huge amount of Gungame mod with Quake sounds, for that knifing "humiliation!"

We had best stop the chat on here though, a big thread hijack from the console boys
