Applied for Rugby World Cup tickets for 3 of Englands games..got the email today from Ballot..unsuccessful...absolutely gutted!! think i might just fly down anyway to soak up the atmosphere maybe pick up a ticket while I'm down there. Anyone else apply?

I applied too, applied for many games, even teams I didn't really want to see. I didn't get any either, gutted too. Was going to take my grandad. Gutted. If there are empty seats like at the Olympics I will be so angry.

Same here. I don't like the ballot system. Guarantee the touts managed to get their tickets to sell on at ridiculously inflated prices!

England v Australia 500 a ticket on touts sites. Cat C. Never understand how It's illegal to sell tickets outside for more than face value secretly but businesses can do it blatantly online.

Didn't bother to apply for tickets. Most of the tickets were already over priced. Most of the matches will be very one sided and most of the games will be on TV. Quite happy to enjoy the atmosphere in a local pub.

think the ones i applied for were 160 each. as soon as easyJ release the flights i will be purchasing and booking hotel. will throw in a visit to 1a st james while I'm down south.

I'm gutted but with the wedding I didn't think I could find the money for any of the England matches so I held off. One of the lads from the rugby club has final tickets.....at ?700 for the pair!
