For me Edwin Starr , live on stage before Marvin Gaye concert

Edwin rocked the place , everyone up dancing and joining in top top performer , gave 100%

Second was Marvin himself , soulful and one smooth guy with the ladies

Third purely for the atmos they created ,James last week at the super league grand final singing " sit down " and joined by 70 thousand fans , made the hairs stand up on your neck. electric

Think the best gigs I've been to would be:

        Nirvana - Sheffield 1992
        Genesis - Wembley 2007
Depeche Mode - seen them loads, and always brilliant..

Michael Jackson in his Dangerous tour at Wembley, around 1993.

Agree with Sludgie on Depeche Mode having seen them a few months back.

Kate Bush was awesome as well.

Best band for a fun night out and banging tunes is the Saw Doctors.

You got tickets to see Kate Bush! How jealous am I......I really hope a DVD of the show comes out.

Muse are the best live experience of my life, much more than just a concert.

Radiohead on the other hand were a massive letdown.

Not an artist but the recent version of War of the worlds was brilliant.

I'm pretty sure Kate Bush will release a DVD, it is a full on show, quite a concept feel to it.

MJ had possibly the best finale to a gig I've ever seen, finishing with (a cleverly swapped person) flying out the stadium from the centre stage with a jet pack.

Muse are on my to see list, friends saw them in Paris and raved about it.

Mine was a day of brilliance, the orb, chemical brothers and Van Morrison in one day. Though when I was 18 I saw Transvision Vamp and Wendy James started fully clothed and ended up in a cowboy hat and bikini. There were a lot of happy young chaps there. I expect I wasn't the only one with a semi!

Foo fighters were good but AC/DC at donnington in 92 were my best...biggest let down iron Maiden in Aberdeen.

After living in a country where no bands came to, I made a concerted effort to go to more concerts since coming back to London.

I have seen the killers(3), Kings of Leon (2), Coldplay (2), muse(1), the prodigy (5), snow patrol (2), Travis (2), oasis (1), manic St preachers (1) and blur(1).

Kings of Leon in Hyde park should have been a real spectacle, but the sound quality was awful. The killers have always been great live. I agree that muse are a great band to see live. The biggest surprise was snow patrol, I only went because a friend had a spare ticket last minute and I wasn't up to anything! Big fan since then. I saw travis at the roundhouse last year, great band and really appreciative of the crowd.

I'm going to put a band out here that I doubt any of you will know. 'White Denim' are hands down, the best live act I have ever seen. They started as a 3 piece psycadellic rock band but have since expanded to a 4 piece from Texas US. A band I played in years ago happend to support them while they were on a European tour. None of us guys had heard of them when we had the support slot, but when they played that evening, it was stunning. They were so so tight and just so well connected on stage the audience was left in complete awe. Since then I have seen the every time they have returned to the UK and they keep getting better and better. It may not be to everyone's taste but I would recommend you check them out and if you like what you hear, check them out live and I promise you it's even better!
