If I'm not mistaken mescaline is the psychoactive compound found in the peyote cactus making both things the same thing eh? In Canada it is legal to possess seeds and plant not intended for consumption except for certain groups for religious reasons. So wrong on both counts there Butters. It's like saying pot is legal here, it isn't and probably never will even be decriminalised because it's a political death sentence. No serious politician would end his career over it. Now you won't go to jail for holding a small amount but that doesn't make it legal.

I`d vote for a politician who wanted to legalise it.
Not for myself to smoke. Tried it (who hasn't?) and didn't like it.
I would like to see the tax revenue from it.
I`m losing a think a third of every pint to tax now.
God knows how much of tobacco cost is tax but its a lot.
Why not let stoners pay tax on what they do to relax too?

Decriminalising is the worst of both worlds. Can do it with impunity and not pay any tax on it.

Do you know why America repealed prohibition? It wasn`t because it was believed alcohol was now ok, it was because it being illegal was making bad men rich. Better to have it legal and under the governments control and tax the hell out of it!

Rant over, sorry what was this thread about?

Not a rant, I agree. Not that drug taking is ok, it's not but we all know that. If you ban something you lose controlled of it, better to legalise it and make a safer product that is regulated and taxed. I'd even make heroin and crack prescription drugs for addicts, they aren't any more expensive than Methadone and Subutex but they are what addicts want and the reason they break the law. Think about it rationally it makes sense to control it and wipe out drug related crime in one fractulated spiral swoop. It's my opinion and no I don't take drugs now so have no reason to push for it other than my wish to see this country do better.

I agree with what you said in everyway except one.
You said drug taking isn`t ok. We all, on this forum at least, do it. Some of us only once a week, some of us everyday.
Nicotine is a drug (as well as alcohol) its just that they managed to get a better wrap and become socially expectable.
I think part of managing to stay off the cigs has been because its not naughty anymore. If id cracked and had a mid week cig I`d have been gutted and ashamed I couldn't`t stop myself, now if I manage to find the time to have a cigar mid week im really proud and tell people about it!
Taking away the naughtiness might put people off the other stuff too

that's what it comes down to. What I was taught in second year of high school by a rather... questionable... teacher is that Peyote is banned under the UN drug convention. But to circumvent the convention, they legalise it but not for consumption. If you have 1 kg of peyote in your house, they can never prove that you're going to eat it... Same with Salvia.
I believe that Marijuana is legal in Holland under the same practice? Due to the UN convention, they technically can't have it 100% legalised like alcohol...

In fact, salvia is sold in some corner stores in Toronto that I know of. Never dabbled in the stuff myself, though. The media dropped a witch hunt on Salvia last year after many news outlets interviewed people who smoked Salvia and did crazy stuff

                Update!

Ahem...sorry for inturrputing this fascinating discussion on peyote, known as mescalito by Mexican brujos, but I have an important announcement to make regarding the bb investigation.

THIS JUST IN - There is no new information when Inspector el Perro will reschedule his briefing on the preliminary results of his investigation. The next update will be later today.

Never heard of the stuff. Is it like the legal high phenomenon we have going on in this country at the moment?
The stuff is marketed as plant food or for souvenir purposes and says not for human consumption all over itlol

Again...please forgive me for interrupting your thread-jacking drug discussion, but I have new information from Inspector el Perro.

This Just In! Inspector el Perro reported in a statement released earlier today that he is wrapping up the latest information gathered after the notorious poster known only as "bb" infiltrated this very thread and will release his preliminary findings tomorrow.

PLEASE! Stay on-line for the latest information!

                          FINALLY! The Results Are In!

The familia Coro met with el Perro this morning to discuss the results of his investigation of the poster known only as “bb”

First off, let’s dispel a few rumors that have been circulation on this and other forums, no doubt. The poster known as “bb” IS NOT el Perro posting under a pseudonym, nor is the late, great don TJ or chicos butterednutz and the big bopper. That’s just nonsense!

The investigation found that the poster known only as “bb” somehow was able to crack the Coro code and take control of the Corro’s UKCF account. To be clear, the poster known as “bb” IS NOT a member of the Coro Clan and does not have permission to post under that account.

So, who is this scoundrel “bb" and how did he get on the forum?” Well, el Perro’s investigating found that the poster known only as “bb” is ….are you ready for this? The poster known only as “bb” is not a person…..IT’S A BOT! A ROBOT, AN INTERNET “SPIDER,” if you will, that somehow infiltrated the Coro security systems and gained access the Coro UKCF account. Think about it, “bb” … bot-bot, bad bot, big bot, etc. – how did we miss this?

The investigation further found that once “bb” the bot was safely inside the Coro UKCF account, it began monitoring UKCF posts and replicating them in an attempt to appear organic, one of the gang, if you will; rather than a lifeless zombie. But this is where “bb” the bot went wrong!

Since bots are unable to distinguish the nuances between humans and zombies, “bb” the bot began copying the posts of younger UKCF members who already post like
zombies – poor grammar, no punctuation, lack of proper spacing, conventional signs and other typographical devices to aid understanding and correct reading of their posts…and posts that simply make no sense at all to the older members. Unfortunately, Inspector el Perro was unable to determine how to get rid of “bb” the bot without terminating the Coro account!

So, what should we do if you encounter a bogus “bb” the bot post?” Inspector el Perro suggests we simply ignore it. But how will we know if it’s truly a bogus post by “bb” bot and not a post by
Bag Boy or blu-balls? We certainly don't want to make that mistake!!! Well, Inspector el Perro identified several common characteristics of a typical “bb” the bot post which should help distinguish it from am authentic Coro post. Those common characteristics are: :

                          - All posts are signed in lower-case “bb,”
                          - No capitalization or punctuation – all posts are one long sentence,
                          - Posts are mostly “cut and paste” phrases from other posts, such as: “in my/your view,” “if I/you am/are honest,” and “you go girl!”
                          - Posts are, in general, a jumble of words and phrases that make no sense, and
                          - Post lack emoticons, which is the hallmark of an authentic Coro posts.

In conclusion, since we are unable get rid of the intruder “bb” the bot at this time
, we are hoping that a good old-fashioned shunning will do the job. Otherwise, we will have to close the Coro account… and we don’t want that, do we?

Your comments and suggestions are welcome.

So on that basis how do we know that Butters has not been 'botted'?
