Is anyone else doing the Macmillan Cancer Sober October? I'm a week into it, the weekend was a bit odd without Friday night beer or Sunday dinner wine. Thank god I'm still allowed the odd cigar! Had a cheeky H U corona junior yesterday.

Good luck to you all who give this ago but it's not for me. Firstly, I abstain from alcohol for 6/12 of the yr being on the rig, secondly I do give up wine & spirits during Lent. Also cigars over E5. So a a good penitent I drink beer & smoke my lesser cigars, knowing that on Easter Day I will appreciate my favourite vices even more.
