Hello chaps/chappesses,

Excuse the typo in the title, I can't seem
To edit it. Anyhow...

I'm travelling into London for a conference next month and whilst I'd usually drive down to Kentish Town and pop on the tube, I'm looking to stay out of town on this occasion.

Can anyone suggest an over/underground route in to the city that's convenient to coming off the M1, or M40 actually? Not too far out as I'm needing to get into the city for about 9.30 ish. Somewhere with generally accessible parking, which can be on road, I'm not fussed.

Any heads up, from regular experience, is appreciated.

There is a large car park at high Barnet on the end of the northern line, but you have to get there early to park. That's not far from junc 23 of the M25. I think the m1 is junc 21? There is probably someone with a better answer though.

The only time I've parked on the outskirts and tubed in was at Stanmore station, off the M1.

Megabus is good but only goes from certain places and times. They also do mega train.

You could come off the M1 and do a left onto the North Circular then park at Brent Cross Shopping Centre and hop on the tube.
