Fine Habano Puros have become what "pot" was to the "sixties"

And for those lads (and heads) that don't remember the sixties, dig it, you can check it out HERE and HERE!

Names TJ, TJCoro, and I wonder how many members actually experienced the sixties

I generally spend a good half hour on these forums - they're the most comprehensive stogie message boards I've come across, and it's all good.

But my laptop died a couple of days back - and those of you who read my initial posts will no doubt have some inckling as to my cigar exile. No laptop + sharing a desktop pc in c'exile + dodgy library computers = major problem!

"I'm on fire" what a track. As a youngster I used to listen to that over and over.
Another slow fav: "Meetin across the river". Oh heck I'll be here all day, I'd better stop.

Ive been absolutely catapaulted into cigar mode this week, i've no idea why. A simple search into why my old cigar shop shut has turned me into a member here, made me by my first humi and first batch of cigars in bulk and ive generally been wanting a cigar a little too much.... ah well, i could always start smoking cigs...

Mister Bulgarin, too right! Cigars had not *really* been on the top of my agenda when I was writing papers and cramming useless information during the summer term -- then I'm invited to join this cigar haven, and I can't get the darn things off my mind! I'm already seeking out a suitable humidor, and glued to the PC screen for hours every evening!

This place is all consuming. I spend way, way, way too much time on here! It's also getting me more in the mood to smoke more than I usually do. It used to be a once a month thing for me, but I'll be upping the ante very soon. You have been warned...

Re TJ and the 1960's reference.

I missed the 60s. I was too young.
Hence the kick-off music-wise with Bolan and T.Rex.

There was a lot of dope around when I was at Uni but I was such a nerd back then that I just used to watch and pass it on.

Toking fine cigars rather than smoking dope has got to be far more interesting.
I always remember smoking a good cigar.
                                That's already one advantage!

I have a friend who was randomly searched by the Police on a London tube train. She was busted for a small 'personal' amount of dope. Back in 1968 she got a conviction and still has to declare her drug offence criminal record on every job application today.

                                That is insane to me.

The powers that be were shit scared of "the youth" turning society upside down back then.

Are they as frightened by the White Label brigade in the park today?
