So the La Luna's have landed! After the little issue with the eBay sale... 7 'Little Havana Blend' Robustos as promised.
Looks wise they have a Matt finish on the Maduro wrapper and some quite pronounced veins. To the touch, they are very, very firm. Almost no give in them at all. Without having tried one yet, I don't know if this is going to result in a tight draw or not. I am going to be leaving them in my humidor for a week or two (maybe more) to let them settle. On the nose, they still have a good amount of sweet tobacco smell, so the hope is there is still some good flavour to be had out of them!
They came in their original box and all individually cello wrapped. I've not had any cello wrapped Maduro cigars before. For anyone who has, would you expect the wrapper to discolour the cello wrap? All the cello wraps have gone yellow... The only reason I ask is I know that there are some practices for lesser known cigar manufactures to 'dye' regular wrappers darker with 'tea' etc to pass of as Maduro. As I said I've not had any Maduro cigars cello wrapped before, so this may be perfectly normal, I'm just curious!
I will report back with the smoke details in a while. (It's possible I may crack a bit early a try one for the hell of it!)
Lets hope the ?20 including postage punt was worth it!
''My religion prescribed as an absolute sacred ritual smoking cigars and drinking alcohol before, after and if need be during all meals and the intervals between them.''

I'm sure they will be good man, ?20 for 7 cigars is cheapies so no stress. I've found that a lot of NC's have that solid feel to them, smoking will tell the story.

The Papas Fritas I had last night was like a stick but it smoked fine
