Please excuse me a bit of a ramble.
I have this week off so i've done the diy jobs, caught up with friends and family so a bit of a wonder was the last thing on my list.
I had a plan to walk a tow path and thought i'd take lunch and a few cigars. I parked at the Canal Centre and walked to Woking, map link: http://www3.hants.gov.uk/basingstoke...leafletmap.pdf
Here's a few photos of the journey:
I wouldn't mind having a canal at the bottom of the garden! It is great being nosey seeing all the different back gardens.
Stopped for a smoke at a nice spot, went for the perla. I saw moor hens, ducks, swans, herons a kingfisher & a snake.
5 miles further and the rain started. Good job i took an umbrella.
Free show? Might as well have a look.
Interactive art show based on collaboration between artist & engineer
Amongst other things there was this musical masterpiece! The compressor underneath fills the balloon on top which, when you press the keys in the middle blows air on the bottles to make a beer bottle organ type thing... Crazy but in a good way.
On the way back i got to a lock and asked for a lift from the lock keepers back to the centre.
After a chat and helping out a bit i got a ride to my car and lined up an interview to be a lock keeper!
