You should try a Conway Stewart, probably more elegant than Mont Blanc which are seen as a bit crass by serious collectors. The writing won't buff off no, the lid barrel is about ?50 so one day I'll get one. http://www.writetime.co.uk/conway/conway.htm
The top one in black is a bargain and very elegant, that's a proper fountain pen.

      These are my everyday pens.

First I think VTG and I are jotter buddies. Lovely handy little pen, cheap enough to throw in the pocket add pleasant to write with. Using non-washable quink for this at the moment but very tempted by that website and its offerings.

By pure coincidence I use the matching mechanical pencil as well. Got a few of these over the years (very cheaply) but this is the only one which hasn't cracked.

When I get home I'll try and picture my Pelikan, if kitten will let me.

I wonder what smut got stashed in there hahaha

            Nice one Smokey!

This is a terrible picture of my Pelikan. Too dark to really make it out.

Cheers man, was a gift from my parents for my GCSE results a loooooong time ago. I carried it every day to sixth form then had a realisation about how bad an idea that was when I was leaving for uni. Now its my home pen.

Yeah it's not worth risking it with something so scentimental, value aside. Be right pissed off if some little scumbag nicked it and sold it for a ten bag of gear.

                      A resurrection here.

I forgot post up a little something I sourced back in October as a personal pressie to mark my 50th. It's the Pilot M90

I really like the minimalist look to it and to think it's based on the Myu 701 from forty odd years ago![emoji7] I know it won't be to everyone's taste.

And no, they're not mine[emoji51]. A good friend middleman'd the postage over here, and took some teasing shots [emoji106]
