Ingersoll. German? Quite a few around. I know a guy that has a small shop near where i work and he gave me a discount on it. Was ?300 I got it for ?200. Nice watch for the price.
I'm not stupid though, I checked online first and they go for about ?230 so still a bargain for a good automatic watch.

Ingersoll isn't German mate. Originally it was American. I remember having one years ago with a tin stating 'the watch that made the dollar famous'... just checked and now British subsidiary or a Chinese company. It's a nice looking watch, I like to see the works on show like that it's mesmerising.

Not trying to be a smart arse mate just figured you'd like to know....Tbh I think quality is based more on cost of item rather than country of manufacture. If a factory is set up to produce quality and it's paid enough to do so the result is a lovely product. (Clothing is often excempt from this rule)
