Of course, a year ago I would have put one on the credit card and not given a toss......but I have promised myself a 'luxury' watch for my 40th- I have 8 years to get everything together and probably change my mind a few hundred times.

Me and my wife have been together 15 years this year, married for two and now have our first due in May.

      • I will buddy. I have to do it when I have laptop on but I'll post a few. I may be able to get some out of Dropbox. If so I'll put a few up in a mo.

        • Watch shopping.

Ok here are some to show the journey over the two years I traded up.
I started with trench watches which I love as they are often silver which is hard to find in a modern watch. Here are some.

          ImageUploadedByTapatalk1422052249.997266.jpg

I got into the old Omegas, in particular the Seamasters, here's a bumper.

I then got into 60's chronographs which I still love, I sold my last one recently to pay bills.

          ImageUploadedByTapatalk1422052311.395839.jpg

I had some odds and sods like this Zenith.

          ImageUploadedByTapatalk1422052441.811059.jpg

Then I got seriously into Breitling, the first was this Chronomat. I changed the strap for the Rolleaux/bullet in steel and gold like the watch and made some dosh on it.

          Here's me rocking the Chronomat.

          ImageUploadedByTapatalk1422052733.667090.jpg

Then I had this Breitling 808, I only have the picture from the listing I bought it from.

          ImageUploadedByTapatalk1422052779.705881.jpg

It was a breathtakingly beautiful watch and I wish I still had it.

I had some odds and sods like this silly thing.

          ImageUploadedByTapatalk1422052829.898307.jpg

And then got the Datora which was simply beautiful. This is the only pic I could find in drop box.

That's it, I sold it and now I wear my dads old Seiko digi which I love.

          • Ah those pictures don't look at sharp as they did in drop box, there are screen grabs. Never mind, they all looked a lot nicer in the flesh.

            • There are some very good deals on used Breitling. Do get in touch if you ever want one.

              • I'd love a Panerai, specifically the Radiomir Black Seal.

                        That's nice!

I like to own this version, but with the brown strap.

                        • Yes that gold one was probably my favourite but the steel Datora was way more practical. You can pick up a perfect used one for maybe ?3.5k but they are probably the most faked watch out there. If you know what your doing you can buy from ebay but it's not for the feint hearted.
The old omega Seamasters are a smaller watch but I love them, most of them aren't original but I do t mind if the dial has been repainted or replaced.

In all fairness I can really call it a collection as I only ever had one or two at any one time.
