                • That looks the nuts, I'm not the biggest fan of bracelet straps, but that and the submariner look good on them.

                  • I'm split on Seamaster and Speedmaster.... I always wanted an Omega for my 30th but I couldn't afford one.

I have always wanted a Brietling Navitimer for my Wedding.... Probably won't afford one.

and an IWC Portuguese when I retire..... Probably die before then. Haha

Not doing too well on the watch front. Actually that's not true at all, I do have a nice Longines I was gifted by a family friend though.

I really like the Navitimer, that and Submariner are my two dream watches. Closely followed by Hublot Big Bang.

Have you thought about the used market?
Plenty of deals to be had.

You have impeccable taste. In my trades I mainly traded old Seamasters (the 60's ones) then finally settled on a Breitling Datora which is a lovely watch. I intended to trade again, after enjoying it for a while, for the IWC Portuguese but I got a bit self conscious wearing such an expensive watch both from a safety point of view and I literally felt that it was ridiculous that I was wearing ?7k while we don't even own our home. So I came pretty close to my goal of the IWC but decided to use the cash for more sensible things. Mrs Tommy has to buy me one for a special occasion now!
Anyway I'm going on, what I'm saying is that you have great taste. I now love the chronograph version of the Portuguese with a mesh bracelet. It's beautiful.
I have photos of most of the watches I traded, well at least the ones I kept for a few weeks to wear.

                          Yeah, constantly..... Still can't afford.

Snap.....have a bit of cash stashed away, but not quite there yet. And now with the baby on the way, I'm finding it harder to justify.

The first Portuguese I saw was in an upmarket jewelers in Rhodes..... It was brand new and ?11k.... Not sure of the model but it was more than the max on my credit card at the time.

I knew then that it was one of my life's aims to own such a beautiful watch. I don't think for a second that I will ever come close, but we can dream.

                              • All things come to those who wait you know , I've done the kids bit (4 bloody times I might add) house buying etc.... You have to get the priorities right , sadly though I don't really envy those of you starting from scratch , too much shit to eat your money up nowadays and house prices and deposits are ridiculous
