The UKCF, what a great forum…. I’ve opened accounts on plenty others before but never have I enjoyed my time so much like this, sure I’ve been given advice and made some friendly conversations here and there; but what really sticks for me is the close-knit community that makes it so special.
I’m not normally the one to get cheesy so I’ll limit my words somewhat, all I want to really say is a big thank-you; firstly to Deano who is a champion for keeping the site up and running so long and he never asks a single penny, I’ve only recently come back to find quite a few people have now left but hey that’s life (with that being said I have recently messaged an old pal who I thought was long gone!), the moderators who do a great job and other comrades I’ve dealt with and encountered the past couple months! I salute each and every true brother of the leaf that posts in this forum nearly daily if not weekly, I really do love reading and seeing everyone’s contributions! Still, there are quite a few I haven’t got to personally chat to yet but I’m sure we will in the near future.
As I’ve been on holiday visiting family and friends, I stayed at my parent’s for a week, in the attic I found two wooden plaques that a member engraved for me back in 2010 and a custom engraved Cohiba robusto single box, brought back some memories and sentiment J Anyways enough of the sobby speech I feel like I’m turning into a woman as it progresses!
It was my birthday a few days ago (27th July) and I received a new desktop humidor from my brother; he also sourced me some aged Monte 2’s from 2009, old seals an’ all lucky me! I’ve yet to even open it but I’m sure they will be divine, cannot bloody wait to stick my nose in that box!
Oh and please check the announcement of August’s COTM which I will be running for whoever didn’t know, I’ll do this now in the cigar passes section!
With that being said these next 2 weeks are going to be very busy for me regarding work, so I may not be posting too much. To those I owe cigars I will getthem out ASAP and you should know who you are waiting for a cigar pass; that will be going too, please bear with me during this period.
Hope I didn’t bore any of you and I’m sure there are many more good moments to share with such a great group of lads!
