A sleeping dawg!
Sigh....there was a time when reaching a posting milestone was something to celebrate; a time to break out your finest puros and enjoy 'em with your mates.
My, how times have changed. Why, I remember the day when senor Robusto was the first around these parts to reach the 500-post milestone back in '09! We celebrated for days...or at least until the late, great don TJ joined him on the posting summit.
I guess in these days of Insta-grams and tweets, achieving such an accomplishment is not viewed in the same way anymore.
Oh well, maybe it's time this old dawg joined don TJ and let young bag boy do the posting on behalf of the familia Coro.
Names Perro, el Perro, and I think senor serious deserves a big pat on the back for building this fine forum and being only the second member to reach 8K posts.
Haha! Well, put your money where your mouth is, dawg face, and send the lad some of your finest.
(Ahem!) Easy there, RJ....a hearty pat on the back is one thing, but parting with don TJ's finest puros is....well, quite another.Last edited by TJCoro; 31-07-2014, 02:36 PM.sigpicVaya con Dios, Amigos! - don TJ and the Coros

Ahhh, Yes! A Coro representative (Stevie the Posser) met with senor serious in the UK along with several other UKCF members during the 2009 London Puro Walk conducted by one of our founding members, senor brokenwing (aka, Nick Wing). See video of this famous walk below:

Hello! My name is BJ, BJ Coro, and I'll be filling in while we figure out how to get Bag Boy's icon on this stupid Ipad.

Perhaps this thread would be a good point for some of you long term members to regale us newbies with some history of UKCF.... Like who were the founding members, how did it all come to be...... Did the maker rest and smoke a puro on the 7th day?Licky Licky before Sticky Sticky. - Puff Scotty 22/03/14

Come and listen to a story about the UKCF!

Now then, where was I? Oh Yeah! So, in addition to the London Puro Walk I mentioned in the above post, I bet some of you are wondering how the heck Deano came to be known as "Senor Serious!!!"
Well, back in the day when ol' TJ used to frequent these boards, young Deano was quite solumn; humorless, you might say, and his posts were quite dour, indeed. So, TJ thought it would be funny to assign names and icons that matched the personality of some of the members. It was quite an honor back then to receive a nick-name from The Don.
Anyway, because of Deano's somber posts, ol' TJ decided to tag him with the name "senor serious." The icon was given to Deano because of his.....well, he's a nerd!!! And if you haven't noticed it before, the code for is "nerd."
But the story doesn't end there. Soon after this, one of our most talented members, senor Robusto, was so moved by this moniker that he composed a song entitled "Senor Serious." There used to be a link to this composition on the home page, but I think it was lost long ago along with CometChat.
Well, that's about it for now. I sure hope you enjoyed this story... and remember to congratulate The Serious One on his serious achievement!
Names Boy, Bag Boy, and I'll be sharing the posting responsibilities with RJ and the rest of the Coros while el Perro searches for his energy body.Last edited by TJCoro; 31-07-2014, 03:58 PM.sigpicVaya con Dios, Amigos! - don TJ and the Coros

Haha! No....not me in the hat. I usually wear a bag on me head, but it shouldn't be hard to figure out who it is in the Cowboy Hat based on the assigned icon.
Sure, there are still a few of the old timers around these parts that appear in the Puro Walk video. Perhaps they will come forward and kindly identify themselves. Or you can keep guessing! Hint: senor is prominent in the video.
