I love the propaganda, fearmonger type journalism. Sensational lines like '10 to 40 cigarettes then kissing everyone in the room' conjuring up a link to STDs and promiscuity.

I had my 1st sheisha in 1995 and enjoyed it so much I went and got one, still got it today and occasionally fire the beast up. It is a bong really, molasses soaked tobacco with fruit flavour is much nicer than a load of hippy hay though!!!

I have only lit mine a few times since buying one and dont see any problems. I think the papers can go on one sometimes

I've not tried a Sheisha myself but I agree completely with what you've said regarding the fear-mongering sensationalism created by the papers. I read the line about kissing everyone in the room - exactly what does that have to do with the health impacts of smoking a Sheisha? And yes - if you've been smoking it for an hour or two then it's going to have a greater impact than smoking cigarettes but to me it's no better or worse than cigars. I'll happily sit down for a couple of hours with a fine cigar!

To each their own! I'd rather people were just allowed to get on with their lives and enjoy it - regardless of what they do to themselves!
