  • Tour de France

I have a bike , but not a Tour fan, well not until Monday when I sat all day outside a pub in Epping drinking and smoking a large Boli followed by a Trini Reyes. I couldn't believe the turn out and the enthusiasm of the crowd. Epping High St was the sprint section and all over within 3 minutes . As my brother said whilst enjoying the same smoke Its like shagging a beautiful woman
    Over to quick !!
The carnival that goes before is great fun . I hope some day it returns and I think it will.
Anyone here follow the sport ?

I follow sport but not normally cycling

I'm bloody annoyed that I missed the Tour de France coming to Essex though - I only realised it was coming on Saturday so couldn't get the time off

I passively follow. Kinda like how I follow golf.... Can't stand to watch it but I like to have an idea what's going on.

I love cycling, it's one of the few sports that becomes more interesting with an understanding of the rules, tactics etc.

I also love all of the unwritten "rules" that are rigorously enforced by the peloton.
