Member States retain some discretion when it comes to labelling some alternative tobacco products that are not as widely used. Examples of these include cigars, cigarillos and pipe tobacco. Member States may exempt these products from the stringent labelling rules but they have to ensure they carry a general warning and an additional text warning.
