  • My Car Died

Well my car died, actually it was not even my car as I borrowed it from my father when I crashed my car, then never got round to buying a new one.

who knew that one had to check oil levels

So now I have to buy a new one or should I say a new to me one. Been looking at a C220 CDi anyone have any experience with these ?

How old? I'm only familiar with the C class within the last 3 years or so and I can't recall a 270

Ah, makes more sense. Good engines by most accounts. I had a C class as a courtesy for for a week and very nearly bought one earlier this year. I'd have one in a heartbeat if I had the money. They're great!

For me though at that age the interior lets them down badly. But that's up to you really

Gotta love a merc! Have a cigar to celebrate the passing of your old one and your choice will be clear in the blue haze!

With all the mistakes you're having putting up that car, it's almost like me with with the buy/sell thread

Lots of car for your money, though don't forget BMW 3 Series and Audi A4.

Good cars but I think the Audi is a bit average once you get inside. I was looking at A5's the same time as the C-Class and it was just black. Both solid cars though [emoji4]

I've had two A4's and while they were top spec I'd say they're two of the nicest cars I've owned, very cosy in the deep sports seats but not soggy in the corners. Good cars if you get the right specs. I did look at beemers too but this time stuck with Audi.

Oh yeah, I can't really fault them mechanically I just meant more aesthetics. I love the DSG boxes, I wouldn't have a VAG without one

i've always enjoyed the looks of old porsches...

only problem is I live in Canada. if life ever does move me to Europe, i'd probably get one of those 1990s vintages and fix up the engine to improve mileage. it actually fits into the look there where here, they just look odd compared to the rest of the vehicles.
                            That. Or a Lotus.

I think that Mo is after a day to day car.
