My Grandad had a ST DuPont (Christ knows where from, he was always skint!) and as a consequence I've always lusted after their older models.

Waaay out of my price range though.

The lighter is one of the nicest things I've had and I'm lucky enough to have a few nice bit about. I absolutely love it. It's a soft flame which I know is contra recital but I find it suits me better. You can get a jet cigar conversion for free.

It's a soft flame which I know is contra recital but I find it suits me better.

Lovely - I much prefer a soft flame where possible too. (Though I have a jet lighter - currently use matches where I can, the jet flame only comes out when necessary).

Also although I bought mine new you can get some great bargains on eBay if you're willing to take a bit if a gamble. You could save ?150.

Are you sure he was not referring to a 'cigar' double flame conversion. This is an option for Uniques (as it is for Duponts). I have never heard of a regular Dunhill with a jet, only the Sport Turbos. It would not be a simple conversion.

It was a cigar conversion yes, he did say it was not a long jet flame but a double something so maybe I go that wrong. I still like it the way it is though.
