    Other thing is the crime is technically where the offender lives, so if that's on a different force area, it becomes a pain as the forces will argue the toss as to who deals.

      I bought several hundreds of pounds of equipment from a scam website several years ago via paypal, I reported it to PayPal who were useless so I went to my bank ( nationwide bs) and followed the fraud process and fair play they refunded me every single penny.
