Picking up my new truck today

Not so much forgot the plug as not wanting it to seem like that was the reason I posted.
I'm a Tree surgion or climbing arborist if you prefer. The idea is some of the work will be totally my jobs and the rest I'll sub contract climb for other tree teams.
Largs is about an hour from Glasgow I'm told, driving back to my home in the fens.
and thanks Dave it's nerve wracking leaving guaranteed money but I'm also loving having control over my life, and if I'm really lucky I'll not have to put up with 'because that's how we've always done it' ever again

Seriously, the very best of luck with your adventure. The work is there, beware of advertising deals such as "hi I'm calling from google" its a total waste of money unless you are spending thousands. I have a yell.com heavyweight listing and a phone book one but 95% of my work comes from recommendations.

And yes, I also craved to become the MD/CEO which was never gonna happen in sales!

I did a job at the home of the late great Roy King and got to see some of his record breaking bows and his workshop. Off the back of that I joined his old club and was introduced to probably the finest living Bowyer John Geldard who build me an amazing bow. The archery world is amazing because all of the legends are very accessible and so happy to give their knowledge. In many ways it's like the Cigar world for how accessible and accepting the community is.
