Friday night is my pike fishing and cigar night. A week of it would be blissful I am seriously jealous. You on the artificial or bait ?

Mad Monk, I'll be using 2 deadbait rods & 1 alternating rod, spinning, jerkbait or fly.80%+ come on bait at this water but using lures means I keep working all day for my fish & hopefully pick up a fee bonus lumps ;0) That's except when when eating &smoking, when the soaking deads mean I am still fishing.
Just left Glasgow & heading for the ferry.

Just a quick update chaps, having a great time, today I had 14 pike for 106lb 04oz, which is a record for me, also caught pb pike on the fly & a pb for my biggest Scottish pike. Onlfy had a couple ofvsmokes so far, just too bust to light up. Gonna be celibrating a while later thugh. Can' t pics yet but will do so from the rig next week. On target to reach 400lb for the week.

Amazing, well done. Was the PB on the fly also the same fish as the PB Scottish? That would be something if you got your biggest pike on the fly! Exciting. I've not fished for pike on the fly but I have used a pike fly in Sri Lanka after some sea predictors. That didn't end well, too much sun and not enough fish. Best of luck with the 400lb target.

So today I passed 200 mark, ending it on 242lbs, still on target, also finally broke my UK record for pike that has stood for 30yrs!!! Great photo, still can't post it yet though. Had a VR Famosma straigh away to celibrate and damn fine it was too.
