Advice ref Swindon

Hi there chaps

This new job I have is going to see me located in Swindon for the most part. Are any BOTLs on here from around there? I'm looking to hire a room or a flat and I'd be interested to know where and where not to go...Also.the location of any good cigar shops of course Any help would be much appreciated. Nick.

Best advice regarding Swindon is to avoid it... Haha. (They do have a good outlet village mind...) Sometimes not possible though.

My father worked in Swindon for many years, thankfully he preferred to commute rather than move us all there. I don't know the place horrifically well, but it has never struck me as the sort of town which would have a cigar shop. I hope I'm wrong.

If you don't mind a short commute, then my neck of the woods in Cirencester is not a bad place to look. It's not too far, and compared to most of the villages within striking distance of Swindon is pretty reasonable value.
