Saw this and thought of Butters.

    Jags are cool. Fact.

If I could afford one I'd rock one and I'm 32. If money was no object I'd have an xjs. If I was being slightly more sensible I'd go for a 2000 era xk (ultra modern cars aren't my thing). Powerful and elegant (just like a big cat), what more could you want?

The original XK-R is still a dream of mine.

Just wish that they had gone with an old school jaguar straight 6 over the V6

XK120 with a split screen. That's a beaut. And of course the E type is a sexy girl.

Justify? Can't afford I can understand but not 'can't justify', wanting one is justification enough.

I have to say I love the straight six in my old Lexus and I'd be loathe to go back to a four cylinder engine.

I've always hankered after a V8 since the days the Met used Rovers, just love the engine sound.

Each very nice, the disco has a V6 in it and even though its diesel it sounds good.

The Jaguar V12 is quite literally the smoothest engine I have experienced, at standstill while running its so quiet you could mistake it for having stalled. Put your foot down and you never feel short of power at any point in the rev range or at any speed, it's just instant smooth progression.

At race levels I have heard of units producing 750 odd horsepower, granted V8's often produce more but there's just something magical about 12 cylinders growling away.

I drove a 3.5L V8 Discovery in the traffic police, surprised a lot of people who thought they could outrun a Landrover especially when speed humps were involved.

I fully agree, interestingly with bikes I like the opposite. Two cylinders or even one make a lovely burble. I'm talking about old bikes like Enfield and Indian etc. Check these out:

If I had the spare dosh I would buy one of these for sure.
