Years ago I worked for Tempo, we delivered an American style fridge to a house once and it was clear it was never going through the front door. The guy asked us to try the back door and it was equally not going through that either. He asked if we'd had lunch yet, which we hadn't so he gave us ?20 and told us to go grab a bite and come back. So off we trot and have a burger, when we came back the guy had removed the door and taken a sledge hammer to the frame and wall! We couldn't believe it! We got it in, I guess the bloke really, really wanted his fridge.

The man must have had more money than sense

We spent about two hours trying to get our new sofa into the house. I removed the r front door, the living room door and the door frame. Still wouldn't go...ended up removing the front window. Very comfy tho. Tucky

Had to do that when we moved into a place a few years back

The bit that a annoyed me most was that It actually only took about 15 mins to remove the window and post it in. If I'd known that first I'd have saved myself two hours of sweat and swearing.
