Sorry to hear that! I was once almost on the receiving end of a serious and false sexual accusation by a female shoplifter.... Very luckily, neither she or I realised that a police Sergeant and an undercover Police officer watched her "deposit her DNA" onto me.

But if he went to the wrong flat would he not be incompetent/unreliable, if he gave it to someone near the delivery address then again, he has not followed RM procedure to delivery post only to the address,so incompetent. Receptionist would be an assumption. So postman to blame by incompetence or dishonesty.

Royal Mail track and trace showed it delivered on Saturday when Sean and I checked it. Sean checked it this evening and it now shows it as today. That is all that it shows and that alone requires investigation.

That's pretty interesting, if a postman has the ability to change such information once input on a central database open to the public then the whole system is open to corruption... I would by surprised if this was the case.

Computers by their nature tend to record who makes changes and when the changes are made... Now wether royal mail will go to the effort to procure this info is another matter.

But being stupid is not tantamount to theft.... All I know is that a thief is one of the worst things I think someone could call me, and if you or I are ever in the unfortunate position to be on the receiving end of a suggestion of theft... I hope the person investigating gives a little bit more of a shit about our potential innocence than to make automatic and easy assumptions of guilt.

Worst thing is she actually started to make a complaint.... Luckily she was shot down instantly when it was pointed out that there were two eye witnesses to what she had done... Evil bitch as much as shrugged it off with a "Well you gotta try." Completely uncaring to the fact she could have lost my my job and more importantly my family.
