Sorry to hear that! I was once almost on the receiving end of a serious and false sexual accusation by a female shoplifter.... Very luckily, neither she or I realised that a police Sergeant and an undercover Police officer watched her "deposit her DNA" onto me.

No the least amount of assumptions, so the last place we know the package to be, was with the postman.

We will probably never know but the big question is, why has the delivery date been changed? The signature remained the same.

What was the original delivery date? And where was this stated?


Is there CCTV in Sean's building? Who actually signs for stuff there, is it a receptionist, does the postman come into the building and go to each flat? Lots of variables.

Royal Mail track and trace showed it delivered on Saturday when Sean and I checked it. Sean checked it this evening and it now shows it as today. That is all that it shows and that alone requires investigation. The concierge usually signs for packages and knows them well. He didn't sign for it. He is so strict that I addressed the parcel to Sean's girlfriend so that she could collect it in his absence. Heck, we should solve it ourselves Marc. You can be good cop.

Not really, mr postie could have gone to the wrong flat, he could have encountered someone near Sean's flat and made a schoolboy error, he could have handed it over to a dishonest or forgetful receptionist... Occam's Razor conveniently forgets the whole spectrum of human possibilities.
