You may have picked up that I sent Sean some cigars and a thief has signed form them and has them. I've just checked on the Royal Mail website and because I won't be able to prove the value of the contents all I can claim is the cost of the postage up to the value of six 1st class stamps. Double fuck it! For the record they were sent 1st class signed for and addressed to his girlfriend because he was going to be away for two days and didn't want them sitting around and drying out. I think the postman thought it contained jewellery or similar and had it away himself.

Absolute wankers wankers wankers searched over numerous blocks nearby and no joy absolutely pisses me off why have tracked service if it means jack shit when comes to claiming. Never had any issues in my name soon as addressed to the missus all of a sudden goes missing how convenient

PeeJay, It won't help you get the value of your gift back .... but kick up a stink .... the Post Office have an Internal Affairs department, and they will know which postmen were on which rounds on which day, possibly a postie has gunnufed the pack, perhaps not, and if not there's a good chance he'll remember where it was signed for. Just be bolshie and difficult about it!
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

Having dealt with similar before their investigation people can be quite good (well up here anyway). Its all digital now so the postie can be identified from the PDA it was signed on. Only downside is as there is no paper signature cannot ninhydrine check any forms for fingerprints, and electronic signatures are no good for handwriting analysis. My guess is royal mail will have suspicions about certain posties. Hope it gets sorted quickly

The stuff people do never ceases to amaze me in today's society. It's bad upbringing. If I'd have ever stolen owt as a kid I'd have had an epic telling off, been grounded and more than likely had clip round the ear hole. I think a lot of people will just nick it because it's 'free' and don't care that it's immoral. Absolute scum....

Very bad and I hope you get them... But it's probably best not to start throwing accusations without proof, there's plenty of things that could have happened unless you know specifics that's are not being said.

TLDR: The Postie is innocent until proven otherwise.

I never bother paying for postal insurance, my cigars are old, I have no receipts, can't prove what was in missing parcel, has anyone actually had a 50quid+ payout?
If cigars well wrapped they are not going to to dry out drying a week in the post.
