Thank you. I do like it, it has special memories.

It's been good looking through this thread though, as I really should be looking for a butane lighter sometime soon.

      Volcan Fire Single Jet

mines bust after a month of use. flint still works, gas still works but just won't light and have tried everything. when it was working, it wouldn't last more than 3-4 cigars before a refill. avoid like the plague!

Also like the extra long matches like Stevieboy, but you definitely have to be indoors when using these...!!!

ive had bad luck with jet lighters. from the maplin style welders torch through to colibri's they've all given up (and all within a couple of months), just hope this holds out for ever

i'm only gonna use colibri butane on this, maybe take it out for dinner a few times, treat it spesh! this month it'll be lighting a stogie or two a day so i'll let you know how it fares by the end of august!

                        Cheers Lascaux

Yeh all my Colibri lighters have ended up being S***E, they last for a short while and then just give up the ghost...

Look forward to hearing your thoughts come the end of August...

                        Fingers crossed, HabanoSy

Yeah Colibri lighters look the part but are fussy on the butane you use in them. Mine is currently being repaired as the filters are blocked, apparently due to using gas other than the Colibri branded stuff. The bloke on the phone told me it was a common issue and recommended only Colibri gas. Going to give that a go and see how it goes.

Will get a picture of it as soon as I get it back.

That's all I used in mine Paulie, (Triple filtered Colibri butane) and still the bloody thing broke.

I've lost count of how many times I had the filters cleaned...!?!

                            Sorry, HabanoSy

                              Great......................................

Well I had better use it when I get it back and hope it lasts a long long time. Not going to pay out everytime it stops.

Mind you, I am currently using a free torch I got from Spain and have to say it works a treat, not bad for a freebie.
