Yep can do that after work one night on the way home maybe. We just need to agree a time and date. I am not familiar with T. Wells but a postcode will get me there.
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

    The Dawg.

During my smoke-a-thon in Soho today I stumbled across the Spring 2008 issue of "Cigar Magazine". In this issue is an article about cigar friendly locations in the UK (post ban) and the Hotel du Vin in Tunbridge Wells gets a BIG mention and several photos of the 40k "shack" they built for smokers outside. We need to organise that evening there, I have not been in at least two weeks, that just is not good enough! LOL

Are we going to arrange mini-herf then?

My youngest son just brought this lighter back from Berlin for me. Its a cheap Chinese imitation zippo but I also collect model tanks in the cabin so its perfect

I'm gonna call it and say that looks like a BMP or BMD and not a Gecko carrier. That said, I like it.

On a militaria lighter front (so to speak) I recently got an IMCO. The story is they were made from surplus shell casings in Austria after 1918. It's pretty much an axis Zippo, and in some ways I'm already finding it less trouble than my Zippo. It also has a slidey adjustable flue.

I remember my grandfather had a lighterlike that. I used to play with it as a kid. Does it have a wadding wick that you soak with benzene?

Yup! Though I've been using Zippo "low odour" fuel. I think they were once really popular as a design, but the ubiquity of the Zippo (maybe because of lifetime guarantees and the facility to have multiple designs and finishes) ultimately killed them. It seems they got betamaxed.

I'm temped to go rummaging through the boxes in the garage to see if I can find it.

I've got about 35-40 Zippo's, been collecting them since I was a kid.

Use my trusty PB-207 for my cigars. Got something special coming but I'm not allowed it for a couple of months!!
