Deano has just purchased a new Zippo Blu torch lighter this got me to thinking that it might be good idea too see the kind of instruments you use to light our expensive cigars with. I currently use a Xikar Wolf Brand Fuego Silver Torch Flame Cigar Lighter, which I find does a great job. What do you use? and do you own multiple lighters? or use diffrent lighters for diffrent occasions, one does all with me, pictures to accompany please!

Had dozens of them over the years although never had anything too pricey.Looked at a ST Dupont last year but it was an arm and a leg.
Normally stick with the extra long matches to be honest.

Nice thread Paul, tops marks for seeing an opportunity there.

I use the black Dupont Xtend daily, and the Lubinski sits there as a three flame novelty to pull out now and again.

It's a shame about the DuPont as I haven't looked after it, it gets bashed up on keys and loose change in my pocket

I also use an Xikar Wolf and have a Colibre Firebird. However if i am at home i tend to use a cedar splint, i just prefer the slow burn of them.

?I have to laugh when I think of the first cigar, because it was probably just a bunch of rolled up tobacco leaves?

Dale its the flint wheel that is a bit anoying, I think I prefer the one button press lighters... saying that I was in JJFox the other day looking at the St Dupont X-Tend that CJ has and just didnt think it was worth the cash... I will be bringing mine along to the thing in Chelsea on Monday as im sure Deano will if he has one so you can have a play with one

Nice selection of lighters guys, heres what I use most of the time to light my stogies...

Also like the extra long matches like Stevieboy, but you definitely have to be indoors when using these...!!!

                          Cheers, HabanoSy

I've attached a few pics of my lighter.

I know it's sacrilege to use anything other than butane or wooden matches... but my favourite lighter is my first, and also one which has slightly special value. The Zippo I usually use (as pictured) was bought when I was at Britannia Royal Naval College, and was engraved to celebrate the training establishment's 100th year in 2005.
