I can't open that link properly to read the article .... but I was watching a dozen or so people smoking those things at a local bistro on Saturday and the Mos Eisley Cantina from Star Wars popped into my head.

To be fair I will defend the e-cig on this occasion... The problem is with Lithium batteries.... Lithium rechargeable batteries are a technology with a history of devastating failures.

Well moral of the story here, use the correct charger for the battery. I don't know the figure but I get the feeling the amperage for an iPad battery is greater than for the e-cig

Seen a few of these stories and people have been using non standard chargers for them, to make it work alot of the iphone charges they misuse are not even real Apple ones, so something is bound to give.

Never have a CC or NC explode on me yet though, so I shall stick with them lol

They've banned smoking them indoors at work and if you're smoking them you've gotta smoke them in the shelters like a normal fag. Good call in my book

Deffo mate theres still nicotine in them so why be able to smoke them indoors if us cigar smokers cant.

Yip idiots that dont know how to use a battery. just one of the problems in todays society and the lack of the natural selection that took place in nature. Same type of batterys that are in laptop mobile phones and such. Bet the cause was wrong charger plug and a different lead from the one he was sold to use with it. Anyone that has a old knackered laptop about take the cells out the battery that will be 18650 or something similar and take them outside and short them across the two terminals and watch what happens just stand well back.
