It is now officially British Summer Time and I'm so sad I even watched the clock jump from 12:59 to 02:00

meanwhile, directly on the other side of the pond:

The remnants of a spring blizzard that closed most schools and government offices in the region continues to paralyze the three Maritime provinces with winds gusting to more than 100 km/h.

I remember from my one trip to Toronto that you don't really get a Spring or Autumn because your seasons change so swiftly.

hmmmmmmmm... we do get them. they're pretty averaged
but very inconsistent. some trios of days in Dec or Feb might be 4deg Centigrade. and tomorrow will just drop to around -16 or something like that

you can normally figure out those days by the size and amount i smoke. the one i post on this forum anyway. someone go figure out when the last time the weather was +4!

on another note: come back to Toronto

I never forgot about the clock changing anymore because my phone (which is the first clock I look at every morning) changes automatically

I used to like it when you gained the hour, where you woke up, looked at the clock, and then only later realised that you have a whole extra hour that day, but sadly those days are now gone

I prefer that mobiles automatically change now. I've gotten into work an hour late before because of the clock change

My back garden is a wind tunnel and I get 80-100mph winds coming through a couple times a year.... Not nice!

Same for me, I suppose it's one of quite a few negatives of working shifts.... Sometimes you don't know if your coming or going, so chucking in a clock change or two a year can really mess thing up!

How about working time directive and having time off between shifts? Do you just lose an hour or turn in an hour even later?

It'd probably be easier to just not have BST. Same timezone all year
