Know I'm a bit late to this thread (not been smoking much lately, for various reasons that will hopefully change soon).

My old mans a dentist, and I once spent a year working in a dental practice. The things I have picked up are Oral B Pro Expert toothpaste is awesome stuff. Phillips Sonicare toothbrushes are awesome and floss or use interdental brushes regularly.

In my entire life, I've had one filling on a baby tooth. I use whatever toothpaste tastes good (which happens to be one of the Pro Expert ones). I use whatever toothbrush has the nicest packaging and I've used floss less than ten times in my entire life

Additionally, although I don't put sugar in tea or coffee, I do eat a lot of acidic fruits, doughnuts etc (doughnuts and cakes haven't stopped me losing 70LBs in the last year or so). So I don't have a low sugar diet.

My teeth are their natural colour, despite smoking. 15 ciggie a a day over the last few months (stress related)

The moral of this long winded load of malarkey is that if you brush your teeth twice a day and don't constantly bathe them in sugar or phosphoric acid (from diet soft drinks), you'll be fine.

And if not, then make sure you have a good dental plan.

That picture is from whenever I first created my account here! This morning the total lost since I started tracking is 75LBs.

I'll stop going off topic now.
