As a U.S. citizen to go to Cuba legally we have to go on a people to people tour which we did. Gives us our afternoons and evenings free and during the day we see and learn things we'd never normally see or learn on a vacation.

Anyway, on the way to the airport I told our guide where we ate the night before, La Guarita. She had said she ate there the night before us and Tom Jones was there. She took out her phone and showed me a photo she took with him. Said he was really nice and took photos with anyone who asked.

So Tom Jones is a judge on The Voice? The U.S. version is the only show like that we watch over here because the judges are always nice and polite to the contestants (no Simon Cowel crap). Didn't know you had the Voice there.

My apologies it was an elevator, I'd just got off a flight, cleared customs and jumped in a lift (elevator if you're American). Standing in the lift was Tom Jones and I believe his agent/manager and of course myself and my son. I took a glance at him, something twigged in my brain, I took a second proper look and thought 'Bloody hell either that's Tom Jones or that other bloke giving him advice needs to tell him his shirt needs buttoning up!'
I didn't say anything since he and his agent seemed rather busy over something important. The last thing he needed was me taking up his time while getting ready. My son was about 12 and up until then had grown up and been educated in Asia, so he has an excuse. It was a little surreal to look at Tom Jones and his manger hurriedly getting ready for what I assumed was the press and then look at my son who was 100% oblivious to the situation. As far as my son was concerned he was standing next to just another traveller.
Well the door opened the press and fans were awaiting his return to the UK I let Tom stepped out first (didn't want to show him up and take the lime light you know!). He walked out to cameras and calls from fans and I shuffled behind and quickly out of the way ... my son still has no recollection of it to this day!
Not much of a story but hey it was far more exciting than the 12+ hour flight I'd just finished!
