You are most welocome, my Gran and Mum both used to make it however they both died when I was younger so no chance to learn from them. I was very lucky that my Wife's Gran was a brilliant Gran and took me under her wing, born in 1915 and died aged 98. She taught me loads of things both practical and about life, I was sad when she passed in fact I'm writing this with tears in my eyes!
Hi guys, another shaving related project. If you want to clean a Fat Boy razor and take it to bits there is a retaining nut on the bottom.
On my razor this is done by inserting something with two prongs into the nut and turning, one well known tool is to use a folding paper clip type of thing.
Hi guys another simple thing I made. This was for my Copper (how apt) Wedding Anniversary a few years ago, I'm fortunate that while my Wife enjoys Gold and Diamonds she is not averse to a handmade present that has had a bit if thought put in.
Take on piece of copper pipe, cut, file and polish and you have a Copper Ring Anniversary gift mi noticed the other day Mrs Roy has this on her key ring.

A re knot of a vintage every ready shaving brush, bought from eBay in the U.S. with the intention to re do it. The knot is Finest Badger from China via Arizona.
As you can see the original has quite a high loft and is made of Boar Bristle, this'll not my favourite combination so was always going to change. On arrival the brush was in overall good condition but had been used and could do with a tidy up.
I increased the knot diameter to 24mm and set the loft to 52mm, inside the base of the handle I made a shelf out of pennies which added some weight and was set with epoxy resin, once derby knot was also glued into place.
The handle was smoothed off and sanded up from 640 - 2000 wet and dry then polished with Menzerna Polish.
It gets used on a regular basis and performs as intended.
